Family Sessions
Families are guided in session to experience emotional engagement among family members and the loved one with ASD diagnosis. This is achieved by positively engaging through the facilitation of techniques based on collaboration, co-regulation partnerships and a variety of emotional development centered techniques. Some of the goals are to facilitate deeper bonding experiences between all family members, and to facilitate the co-engagement in empathy development and several other emotional experiences that are challenging for the family and the loved one with ASD. Other topics that may be discussed based on need are such as preparing to thrive though life skill building, social skill building, and emotion regulation and how the members of the family can help when involved in co-achieving. Other topics based on need and age appropriateness may include "Preparing to live on your own" and how families can be allies through the co-regulation partnerships and co-achieving process.

*Issues associated with severe mental health diagnosis, including but not limited to substance abuse and addiction, self harm, harm to others and eating disorders, are typically not a good fit and may be a contraindication for life coaching. During the discovery session this will be explored. If a contraindication for life coaching services is identified we would recommend that mental health services are provided first. We will be glad to arrange for mental health therapy to prepare you for a successful life coaching experience.
